You don’t become a better writer by patting yourself on the back for what you did right, and ignoring what you did wrong. You become a better writer by being objective, honest and facing your weaknesses head on.
It’s a myth that you improve ‘just by writing’. You improve by writing and paying attention and having the desire to improve. Always go back and analyze your work when you’re done. ▪
