✓ Ideal Partnerships
Complex Narrative EnvironmentsYou’re building a “heavy” world, whether it’s a dark dystopian novel, a sprawling sci-fi comic, or a high-fantasy RPG. You need systems, internal logic, deep engagement, and consistency.
The Stand-alone MasterworkA cathedral requires just as much engineering as a city. If you’re pouring resources into a self-contained narrative, whether a graphic novel, long-prose novel, or indie game, I make sure the internal structure holds up, delivering a perennial, high-yield asset.
Ludonarrative AlignmentYou understand that in games, the story and the mechanics must speak the same language. You want meaningful engagement where gameplay mechanics align with the in-game script.
Thematic ComplexityWhile I work across many genres, I frequent dark fiction: narratives of higher cognitive load including, Noir, Hard-boiled, Dystopian, Revenge Stories, Psychological Thrillers and Horror where characters are flawed, morality is “grey,” and the answers don’t come easy.
True Architectural DevelopmentYou’re looking for someone who can stress-test your foundation and untangle your character arcs, not someone who spell-checks your dialogue.
Legacy Stewardship & Co-AuthoringI accept full-length novel authorship and co-writing partnerships exclusively with established industry figures or legacy IPs requiring senior narrative stewardship.
Cross-Genre YA I welcome Young Adult narratives that cross into my main wheelhouse genres, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Horror, Dystopian, Cyberpunk, etc. If your story tackles mature themes and structural complexity, let’s talk.
✕ Out of Scope
Contemporary Political AllegoryI focus on timeless storytelling and immersive world-building. If the narrative exists primarily as a vehicle for political commentary or partisan satire, it falls outside my structural focus on longevity.
Pure Genre Romance or YAMy toolkit is built for structural complexity and adult focused narrative mechanics, not formulaic emotional beats or YA interpersonal trends. If the core conflict is purely courtship rather than structural, I’m not the right fit.
“Asset Mill” Mobile GamesI thrive on quality, not volume. If you need 5,000 lines of generic flavor text for a “grind-based” item tree, you need a copywriter. (However, if you’re building a deep RPG where those items expand the lore, we should talk.)
AI-Generated RemediationI build human narratives and don’t accept contracts to “humanize,” fix, or rewrite machine-generated drafts. Reworking machine-written material costs more and delivers less than writing it right the first time.
Co-WritingOutside of legacy stewardship (left), effective co-writing requires matched experience levels to maintain narrative momentum. With over 25 years in the industry, my workflow is too distinct to mesh with developing writers without slowing down the project. If you want my expertise on your story, please inquire about consulting, developmental editing, or coaching.
Standard GhostwritingI don’t accept standard ghostwriting queries for unestablished authors or new IPs.
Line Editing & ProofreadingMy focus is structural health and narrative viability. If you strictly need grammar checks, typo hunting, or sentence polishing without developmental oversight, you need a copy editor, not a story guy with 3 decades under his belt.
